Spartans Up To #23 Nationally

            Following its fifth place finish at the Arena Invitational in Long Beach, Calif., San Jose State University is ranked 23rd nationally in the second Endless Pools Top-25 Division I Women's Swimming and Diving performance rankings for the 2012-13 season.

            The Spartans were 25th in the first poll of the season. The four teams that finished ahead of San Jose State at the Arena Invitational - California, Arizona State, San Diego State and UCLA - are ranked ahead of the Spartans.

            The 2012-13 season marks the first time a San Jose State team is ranked in the Division I top-25 national performance rankings more than once during the season. The Spartans also are ranked #1 nationally in collegeswimming.com's Mid-Major poll.

            San Jose State's fall season is complete. The Spartans begin the second half of their season, January 4 in a double dual meet with Cal State Bakersfield and Northern Colorado in Bakersfield.
