Vail, Colo.-Cha Cha Willhoite and Rachelle Reali each shot a 75 in the final round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge at Red Sky Golf Club, and the San Jose State women's golf team finished 14th at the tournament.

Willhoite finished the tournament tied for 23rd place at 223, and made 15 pars in her round.  Reali shot her best round of the tournament with her 75 and finished tied for 62nd at 235.  She had three birdies on Wednesday.

Kathleen Rojas shot a 78 and finished tied for 44th at 230, while Megan Osland shot a 77 to finish tied for 62nd with Reali at 235.  Stephanie Gibri shot a 78 and finished tied for 76th at 243.

"We are a young team that is learning how to fight," said Spartan head coach John Dormann.  "We have to find ways to finish rounds better and fight harder through adversity.  Making birdies this week were like winning the lottery, very hard to come by.  We just did not make enough in the three rounds."

San Jose State next competes at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, October 8-10, in Redmond, Wash.
