Burlington, Iowa -- San Jose State wrapped up the Golfweek Conference Challenge by shooting a 307 (+19) in the final round on September 18 in Burlington, Iowa. The Spartans finished tied for 11th place in a field of 15 teams from 15 different conferences. They shot a 54-hole team score of 903 (+39) on the 7,360-yard par 72 Spirit Hollow Golf Course. Missouri won the tournament 46 strokes ahead at seven-under par. Justin Estrada was the top-finisher for San Jose State. He shot 73-72-76-221 (+5) and tied for 19th place. Connor Covington had the lowest round of the day for the Spartans thanks to an eagle on the par-five second hole. A 75 Tuesday gave him a total of 227 (+11), good for 41st place. Daniel Semmler and Cody Blickensderfer tied for 53rd place with a final score of 231 (+15), and Taylor Bromley finished a stroke behind at +16. Next up, San Jose State returns to the Dash Thomas Memorial as the defending champions. The tournament hosted by Boise State at Banbury Golf Course begins Monday, September 24.
