For those believing there is no "off-season" in football, San Jose State University's 2013 spring practice begins Tuesday, February 19, 9:00 a.m. in Spartan Stadium.

New head coach Ron Caragher is anxious to get started with his first season in charge of the Spartans. With 15 returning starters (7 offense, 6 defense, 2 kickers) from the 2012 team that was the Univeristy's first to be listed in a final Bowl Championship Series (BCS) standings at #24, be ranked #21 nationally in the final Associated Press and USA Today coaches polls, and finish with 11 wins including a 2012 Military Bowl victory, one can easily side with Caragher's interest to take the field.

Eleven of these returning San Jose State players received post-season recognition at least once during the 2010 through 2012 seasons.

Overall, 45 letterwinners and 26 returning redshirts form the foundation for the 2013 Spartans.
