Senior Amy Kilby and junior Chris Cunningham have been named the January San Jose State Spartan Foundation Student-Athletes of the Month, presented by Toyota Scion.

Kilby was a two-time WAC Diver of the Week in January. The Oklahoma City, Okla., native recorded two first-place finishes in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives against CSU Bakersfield and Northern Colorado. At the Bruin Diving Invitational, she made the final rounds and placed in the top ten in two out of three events. 

In nine January games, Cunningham averaged 10.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. The Pomona, Calif., native scored in double figures in five games and grabbed 10+ rebounds in three games. He finished the month with back-to-back double-doubles: 13 points and 10 rebounds vs. UT Arlington, and 12 points and 11 rebounds at Seattle U. He also shot 82 percent from the free throw line (41-50).

In its 54th year, the Spartan Foundation is the scholarship fund-raising organization for San José State Athletics.
