San Jose, Calif. - The San Jose State women's gymnastics team opens its regular season against Sacramento State, Stanford and UC Davis this Friday, January 4, at 7:00 p.m. This year's meets will be held at The Event Center, located on the corner of Seventh and San Carlos Streets.

The Spartans return six letterwinners from its 2012 squad that produced NCAA West Region Gymnast and Coach of the Year, Thomasina Wallace, and Wayne Wright, respectively. Fans have an opportunity to watch the eight newest additions to the Spartans.

The meet will be the first of three showdowns against UC Davis and WAC rivals Sacramento State, the first of two meets against Stanford.

Tickets are for the meet are available at The Event Center Box Office.  Adults are $5, youth 12 and under are $3 and San Jose State students are free with a valid Tower Card.

For those unable to attend, the meet will be streamed online. Click on Live Now tab on the bottom portion of the website to see the live feed once the meet begins.  The charge to watch to meet is $7.95.
