San Jose, Calif. --- After a month of training, the #23-nationally-ranked San Jose State University Women's Swimming and Diving team travels south for four meets starting Friday, January 4 through Sunday, January 6. On Friday, the Spartans (2-1) are in Bakersfield,
Calif., for dual meets against Western Athletic Conference opponents CSU Bakersfield (3-1) and Northern Colorado (2-1). The meet at the Hillman Aquatics Complex starts at
11:00 a.m. CSU Bakersfield's Michaela Paige has the top conference time in the 500 free (4:55.66). San Jose State then travels to San Diego to participate in
the University of San Diego Relay Invitational on Saturday starting at 12:00 p.m. The two teams will battle each other in 10 relay races. To end the week, the Spartans take on UC San Diego in a non-conference meet on January 6. The meet with the Tritons, ranked third in NCAA Division II, begins at 11:00 a.m. at the Canyonview Pool.
