San Jose, Calif.-Swedish junior golfer Alexandra Kristofersson has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play women's golf at San Jose State University starting with the 2013-14 season, as announced by Spartan head coach John Dormann.

Kristofersson belongs to the Swedish Golf Team's girl focus group and was 13th in the Swedish National Junior rankings.  She finished second at the 2011 Swedish Junior Championship in match play, third and best amateur at the 2011 Hjo-S Open and ninth at the 2011 Finnish Ladies Amateur Open. 

"We are very excited to have Alex joining our program in the fall of 2013," said Dormann.  "She will be contributing to the success of the team immediately upon her arrival.  We expect her to add to the long list of talented Swedish golfers at San Jose State."
