San Jose, Calif. --- The San Jose State Spartans are the top-ranked team in the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Division I Ranking poll. "The team is off to a tremendous start this season," said head coach Sage Hopkins. "I am so impressed with how hard they have been working and how much they have focused on becoming the best student-athletes they can be." The Spartans (2-1) competed in the Arena Invitational in Long Beach, Calif., on November 15-17 placing fifth overall. "We have a special thing happening here and the team is so proud of all that they have accomplished and are very excited for the future." San Jose State's next competition is Friday, January 4, 2013 when the Spartans face Cal State Bakersfield and Northern
Colorado in dual meet action in Bakersfield.
