San Jose State record: 8-2, 4-1 WAC. The Spartans have their second four-game winning streak of the season and eight wins in the last nine games after defeating New Mexico State (47-7) on November 10.
Brigham Young record: 6-4. The Cougars are in the midst of their third two-game winning streak in 2012 after defeating Idaho (52-13) on November 10.

The pregame show for the Brigham Young game begins at 7:00 p.m. (PST). Network affiliates are KION (1460 AM/101.1 FM, Salinas) and KFIV (1360 AM, Modesto).
KSJS (90.5 FM, San Jose) also will broadcast the BYU game. Air time with a pregame show is 7:15 p.m. (PST).

San Jose State-Brigham Young series: San Jose State leads the series, 9-6. The teams are playing in San Jose for the first time since November 30, 1968 when San Jose State defeated BYU, 25-21. Since then, the Cougars won the last three meetings between these teams including a 29-16 decision on October 8, 2011. The home team has wins in the last five meetings between these teams. BYU's only win in six games in San Jose was a 19-9 triumph on September 24, 1966.

Prior to 2006, the Spartans won nine or more games 13 times in 1990 (9-2-1), 1987 (10-2), 1986 (10-2), 1981 (9-3), 1975 (9-2), 1949 (9-4), 1948 (9-3), 1947 (9-3), 1946 (9-1-1), 1940 (11-1), 1939 (13-0), 1938 (11-1) and 1937 (11-2-1).
Aiming for five in a row: San Jose State can put together its first five-game winning streak since 1990 with a win over BYU. The 1990 Spartans finished the season with six wins in a row. Since then, the 1991, 2006 and this year's San Jose State team last month had four-game winning streaks that ended with a loss in the next contest.
Best road team in years: San Jose State concluded its regular season with what will be one of the best road records by a 2012 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team. Presently, the Spartans are just one of four FBS teams with five or more road wins.
Road wins in four time zones: The 2012 San Jose State team is the school's first to win a road game in each of the four continental U.S. time zones. Presently, no other FBS team has a road win in four of the five U.S. time zones with a FBS program.
350+ points: The 2012 San Jose State team is the ninth highest scoring squad in school history and the first in 10 years to score at least 350 points.
