The Spartans have a two-game winning streak and six wins in the last seven games after defeating Texas State (31-20) on October 27. Idaho record: 1-7, 1-2 WAC. The Vandals are coming off a bye week. Most recently, Idaho lost at Louisiana Tech (70-28) on October 20. Television Coverage: The Idaho game will be carried by KTRV, Boise. The pregame show for the Idaho game begins at 1:30 p.m. (PDT). Network affiliates are KION (1460 AM/101.1 FM, Salinas) and KFIV (1360 AM, Modesto). San Jose State-Idaho series: San Jose State leads the series, 12-10-1. Idaho has victories in the last three meetings between these teams including a 32-29 win over the Spartans last year in Spartan Stadium. The last four contests between these teams were decided by six points or less on the scoreboard. San Jose State's last win in the series was a 30-24 decision at the Kibbie Dome in 2008. Second winning streak of the season: San Jose State's current two-game winning streak is its second in 2012. The Spartans took their first two-game winning streak and turned it into four wins in a row before losing to Utah State on October 13. 7-2 is a possibility: San Jose State improve its season record to 7-2 with a win at Idaho. The 1987 Spartans, at 8-1, were the last San Jose State team that had at least a 7-2 record after nine games. Bowl eligibility a goal: San Jose State can become bowl-eligible for the 2012 post season with its next victory. The last two times the Spartans became bowl eligible were in 2006 and 2008 with wins against Idaho in the Kibbie Dome on November 25, 2006 (28-13) and on November 1, 2008 (30-24). Going for four road wins in 2012: With a 3-1 road record and three consecutive wins away from home, the 2012 Spartans can become the first San Jose State to win four road games in a season since 2002 and the first San Jose State squad with four consecutive road victories since the 1987 team won five road games in a row. 500 yards total offense three times: San Jose State notched a season-high 571 yards of total offense in the Texas State victory. For the first time since 2002, a San Jose State team has three games in a season with at least 500 yards of total offense. The last Spartan team with four games of 500 or more yards of total offense in a season was the 1991 squad with five. Nine different pass receivers three times in 2012: In the UC Davis win (9/8), the Utah State loss (10/13) and the Texas State victory (10/27), nine different players caught at least one pass in the game. Four Spartans with 30 or more receptions: For the second time in two years and the seventh time in school history, four San Jose State players have 30 or more receptions in a season. Noel Grigsby (49) leads the way followed by Jabari Carr (34), tight end Ryan Otten (30) and Chandler Jones (30). No San Jose State team has finished a season with five players catching 30 or more passes. Wide receiver Kyle Nunn (23) and running back De'Leon Eskridge (20) are within range of reaching 30 receptions by the end of the season.
