|David Quessenberry Accepts Senior Bowl Invitation|
Mobile, Ala.----- San Jose State University football offensive tackle David Quessenberry recently accepted an invitation to play in the 2013 Senior Bowl.
Now in its 63rd year as a college all-star game, this year's Senior Bowl is set for January 26, at 3:00 p.m. (CST) in Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The NFL Network will provide live television coverage.
Quessenberry is the first San Jose State offensive lineman in school history headed to the Senior Bowl. He completed his senior season as a three-year starter and co-captain on the Spartans' Military Bowl winning team.
The 2012 graduate who majored in history was a first-team All-Western Athletic Conference offensive lineman and one of three finalists for the Burlsworth Trophy honoring the top college player that began his career as a non-scholarship player.
The Carlsbad, Calif., resident joins his fellow co-captain and tight end Ryan Otten as Senior Bowl invitees. The 2013 game marks the first time since 1974 two San Jose State players are scheduled to play in the game that is coached by National Football League coaching staffs.
